Biomass energy systems for farms, estates and rural businesses.
Find the right system for your business.
CapChar develops integrated systems around the biomass you have, the heat you can use and the way your business operates. Explore the customer groups below to see what we would assess for your site.

Farms and agricultural businesses
Farms with suitable woody biomass and a practical use for recovered heat can explore an integrated route to drying, heating and biochar production.
What we assess with you
Feedstock volumes and seasonality; moisture and preparation; operator time; drying or heating demand; intended biochar use.
Connect local biomass with local demand.
Estates and landowners
Estates may have biomass resources and heat requirements across several operations. We assess where an installation could work and how useful heat would reach the intended application.
What we assess with you
Biomass collection and transport; installation location; access and services; heat distribution; operating responsibility.
Put recovered heat to work in drying.
Wood and biomass businesses
Businesses handling suitable wood chip may have both a feedstock supply and a productive use for heat. We assess pyrolysis alongside existing wood handling and drying operations.
What we assess with you
Chip consistency and contamination; incoming moisture; drying targets; daily throughput; existing energy cost and seasonal demand.
Assess your residues and heat requirements together.
Horticulture and growers
Vineyards, orchards and other growers may have residues and seasonal heat needs. Crop-derived material needs a specific technical assessment before we confirm its suitability for a system.
What we assess with you
Residue type and collection; material volumes; seasonality; required heat temperature; location and intended biochar outlet.
Build the operation around your product requirements.
Commercial biochar producers
Producers need consistent feedstock, suitable processing and an identified market. CapChar brings production, heat recovery, biochar handling and carbon recording into the project assessment.
What we assess with you
Feedstock specification; intended product quality; conditioning and handling; laboratory testing; route to market; carbon evidence requirements.
Scale and availability
Your sector is the starting point. Your site determines the system.
Pyrolysis project assessment
We assess integrated pyrolysis technology for suitable sites. Feedstock, useful heat demand, labour, equipment scope and budget determine the fit.
Smaller-scale requirements
Smaller-scale requirements remain in development and are not currently available to order. Tell us your scale and budget so we can record your requirements.
Common questions.
What if my business fits more than one sector?
That is common. An estate may also run a farm or wood-drying business. Share the actual biomass stream, heat demand and operating requirements; those determine the project assessment.
Can I enquire about another type of business?
Yes. Tell us what material you have and the heat or biochar outputs you want. We assess technical and commercial suitability before proposing equipment.
Do I need a large budget to enquire?
No. Include your budget and scale. We can assess your requirements and record your interest in future development.
