The table identifies the retirement date, beneficiary, retired Biochar Carbon Units, associated biochar quantity and producer. A retirement record differs from a production total or an issuance record.

A Biochar Carbon Unit represents one tonne of carbon dioxide equivalent removed under the applicable BCC methodology. Retirement records identify the beneficiary and producer, alongside the quantity of units and associated biochar.
Retirement is the recorded step that takes units out of circulation for the named beneficiary. Production volumes, issued units and retired units are different measures.
